Corporate CEOs are embracing sustainability. Here’s some telling survey results from Siemens Building Technologies:
75% of CEOs expect their sustainability efforts to aid in customer retention and will lower their operating costs (mostly achieved through energy efficiency).
Approximately 60% of firms in the U.S. equities market with revenues greater than $250 million see sustainability initiatives as in line with their corporate strategies. This represents a doubling from just 3 years ago.
This recession has increased Corporate America’s sustainable activities – with 60% of the companies in the Siemens survey stating that the economic hardships have aided their initiatives.
