I found a website you should put into your “favorites” section on your browser like I have done. It is called Greentech Media located at http://www.greentechmedia.com/.
The site is rich in data, current trends and insights. Its main information sections are “solar”, “smart grid”, “enterprise” and “other”. Inside each topic-section are subsections that encompass the fullest range of who is doing what, and how they are making money, in The Green Economic Revolution. One topic I am currently following is on the “Green Brick.” Very cool new technology!
And I got to meet to Michael Kanellos, Editor in Chief, at Greentech Media during this week’s West Coast Green Conference. Nice guy, knows his stuff! You can read his blog at http://www.greentechmedia.com/green-light/.
One of the recipe ingredients I profile in my just released book, The Secret Green Sauce™, is “Know it, Embrace it.” I got this term from one of my mentors on Web 2.0. Web 2.0, not advertising, is the path Awareness Customers™ are using to figure out what sustainable goods and services to buy. Did you know that Concerned Caregivers (our moms!) who are leaders in going green are 60% more likely to use Facebook than the average person? If you are growing a green business then “Know it, Embrace it” must be a critical part of your market intelligence and should be used as a path of outreach to the pioneering green consumers. And I strongly recommend Greentech Media as one of those websites you visit often to make sure you know what your competitors are doing, or not doing, to align with the Awareness Customer’s™ search for “cost less, mean more.”
